Calabasas, CA, July 11, 2010 – DoubleTake Media today announced the release of its newest Pairody™ Parody on BP and the gulf oil disaster, titled “Black and Blue Bayou”. The music video and song are a “Double” take-off of the classic “Blue Bayou” by Roy Orbison and popularized by Linda Ronstadt.

A sp-ILL advised parody of the great song, watch as DoubleTake and The British Petroleum Really Sucks Band (AKA The BP Slickers) take aim at the oil industry's disaster in the Gulf.

The music video uses graphic images from a variety of sources. It includes another DoubleTake Pairody™ movie poster (called “Movies of the Weak™”) from the famous oil movie, “There Will Be Blood”.,which follows “We Will Barack You, Ba Ba Barack”, “The Monster Mash Bash” and “I’m Hillary in ’08, I Am” in a pairody* series by DoubleTake. Other humor can be seen and heard on their website.

Calabasas, CA, October 26, 2007 – DoubleTake Media today announced the release of its new Pairody™ Parody on the 2008 Presidential Primary Elections, titled “The Monster Bash”.  The music video and song are a “Double” take-off of the novelty classic, “The Monster Mash” that was popularized by Bobby Picket in the 1960’s. 

The music video uses the candidates’ images morphed into infamous characters from classic horror and sci-fi movies. These DoubleTake Pairody™ movie scenes are called “Movies of the Weak™” and range from Dracula and Frankenstein to the new Seinfeld “Bee Movie”.

 

 “The Monster Bash” follows “I’m Hillary in ’08, I Am”, in the series of “Presidential Ribs” by DoubleTake. As the elections get closer, Double “takes” on the major candidates and gives some great “food” for thought on the nominees and their views. There are lots of sound “bites”, especially with the vampires … so sink your teeth into the song and video, whether you are Red, Blue, or any other color.

Calabasas, CA, September 26, 2007 – DoubleTake Media, today announced the release of its new Pairody™ Parody on Hillary Clinton, titled “I’m Hillary in ’08, I Am”.  The song is a “Double” take-off of the famous “I’m Henry the 8th, I Am” that was popularized by Peter Noone and the Herman’s Hermits in the 1960’s.  While the connection between Henery and Hillary, at first glance (or even at eighth glance), may not seem that close, everyone seems to “get” it, whether they want to or not. 

Of note (musical or otherwise) is that there are two versions available – one is PRO Hillary, and the other is CON Hillary (for CONservative).  Enjoy both versions whether you are Red, Blue, or any other color.  And it’s not just the music that makes the Pairody™ Parody* unique, it’s the humorous look at everyone’s politics. Both political parties will enjoy their version, but probably hate the other – just like the unreal life of politicians.  The music video uses images from a variety of places, including a number of Pairody™ movie posters, which are called “Movies of the Weak™”.
