Gold has been used as a therapy for asthma.

A series of intramuscular injections of gold salts leads to a reduction of the painful symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis in about 70% of the cases. Estimates run as high as 100,000 people in the U.S. are currently on gold treatment.

The foundation of the "stone gate fortress of Purandhar" is the largest piece of gold architecture in the world.  Made in the year 1290, near Poona, India, it weighs 37,500 lbs.

The most expensive swimming pool made of gold and jewels is the King/Prince of Siam’s, built in 1887.
